For those of you who may have missed the first session of Painter Lab at Digital Art Academy, I’ve added a set of tutorials directly from the class to the Studio|chris Shop. The specific tutorials added cover the following topics:
- Preparing a sketch for painting in Corel Painter X.
- Creating a simple round brush along with a custom brush category.
- Combining two separate photos to create a single painting.
- Creating and adding texture to paintings using layers.
Since these are taken directly from the class, this is the closest thing to being there outside of, well, being there! I’ve also packaged them all up into a 4-pack if you’d like to grab all of them at once – at a discount over purchasing them separately!

In the future, more tutorials will be added as sessions of the course come to a close, with each set coming a few weeks after the course end.
Just like in the class, I encourage all of you to not worry so much with following everything to the letter, but instead apply the steps to you own workflow to create your own unique creations.
